Dear WV and Tri-State Home School Families,
We are excited to share a very exciting new ministry offered here at Mountain State Christian School—our Home School Satellite Program! This ministry exists to support Home School families in our region with classes, activities, and resources to strengthen their educational experience. Last year we had four home school students participating in the program. Two of those students also participated on the Boys JV Basketball team! MSCS is centrally located in Culloden, WV (halfway between Milton & Hurricane) just off Route 60 on Martin Lane.
Following are some ways this ministry could be a blessing in your lives…
- Classes—Enrollment in specific classes—science, history, English, math, music, art, PE, you name it!
- Curriculum—Discounted rates on A Beka Book textbooks!
- Standardized Testing—We use the Stanford Achievement Tests, and HSSP students may participate for a nominal fee!
- Recordkeeping—Have MSCS keep record of grades/transcript!
- Field Trips—Go on most field trips with MSCS students!
- Activities—Participate in various extra-curricular activities!
- Sports—Play on the boys or girls basketball team (grades 6 & up) if enrolled in one class or more!
These are all available to you at Mountain State Christian School, the first protestant Christian school in West Virginia (since 1966). The classes are only $40 per month (5 payments per semester). Fees may apply for some activities.
The HSSP of MSCS is offered to your family as a ministry, because we believe in what you are doing and admire your commitment to home education! We are not trying to "proselytize" your students! We simply wish to minister to your families using the resources with which God has blessed us! If you would like a representative from MSCS to present more information about the HSSP ministry at one of your meetings, please let me know. We would be glad to help in any way! We are endeavoring to minister to your families! You may even have several suggestions that we have not considered!

Please print these out and share them with any families you know who are searching for some way to augment their home schooling!
