Appalachian Christian Cooperative of Home Educators is registering 3-15 year old home schoolers for spring semester.  The co-op is a group of Christian homeschooling parents who join efforts to provide fun learning activites.  It's an awesome way to get together with like-minded families for fun and fellowship.  We meet on alternating Tuesdays at River Cities Community Church (Rt 60 in Huntington, near Altizer).  Classes run January 6th through May 12th.  This semester we will be offering art, science, music, phys. ed, and world cultures for elementary ages.  Older children will have longer periods in art, yearbook, science, and phys. ed.

I have more specific information for anyone that's interested.  For the fastest reply, please email me directly rather than posting here.

Just want to update that registration is now closed for spring semester.  I can still add people to our field trip list but anyone wanting to start co-op classes will need to wait until next semester.

The annual volume provides a summary of the discussions and papers presented at the annual meeting. Also included are minutes of business sessions and committee reports. Please submit information for the newsletter to the ACHE Home Office via e-mail at .As I mentioned in my last editorial for Five Minutes, one of the pleasures of this job is visiting the various ACHE regions and attending their conferences and meetings.

As I mentioned in my last editorial for Five Minutes, one of the pleasures of this job is visiting the various ACHE regions and attending their conferences and meetings. Beginning in February, I have had a steady stream of ACHE travel. The meetings were outstanding, and I left them feeling very good about the leadership of the regions and the future of the organization. Most of my travelling is now complete, and I thought I’d put my English major training to use by reporting on them in verse. Because a rhyming dictionary is a terrible thing to waste.
